I love trying out new recipes. I used to have quite a few cookery books that I would look through for ideas and experiment myself with different dishes as well. I would also try to recreate dishes that I had in restaurants. More recently I have discovered that there are all sort of recipes available on line. Some websites do charge you to look at their recipes but others are free. There are many sites, ones which have been put up by home cooks wanting to share their ideas, blogs, sites for special diets and even sites for specific foods such as flax seed recipes. It is great as you can find all sorts of things - traditional or exotic using cheap or expensive ingredients, from your home country or abroad. It means that you can virtually find anything that you want and there is no excuse for no one being able to cook any more. Obviously some recipes are harder to follow than other and some dishes are more complicated to cook than others but it is very likely that however inexperienced you are, you should be able to find a website with something to suit you. Another important thing is to not be put ff by foreign ingredients. For example if the recipe has flax seeds in it then why not go out and buy flax seed. You never, know you might really love them and regret the fact that you had not discovered them earlier. It is getting much easier to get a broad range of products from supermarkets now, so there is unlikely to be ingredients that you cannot get hold of. More experienced cooks may substitute ingredients that are hard to find or perhaps are expensive. This does take some skill though as you need to replace it with something that has a similar flavour and similar properties.
